Our P.E. day will be Wednesday, so please ensure P.E kits are always in school for this.

Home learning will be given on a Friday, and is due in the following Friday.

However, there will be no home learning set over the holidays.

If you hear your child read, please record this in their reading journals as reading 3 times in a week equals a sticker. Reading journals will be collected in and checked every Friday.

Term 1

This term, our topic has been 'Save our planet'.

The main focus has been on recycling. We have focused on the text 'Michael Recycle' and have planned, designed and evaluated our own recycled super hero costume. Keep on scrolling to see pictures of our exciting D.T day!

  and this was the classroom!

Term 2

This term, our topic is Whizz, Bang, Pop!

We will focus on the lives of significant individuals and special events: Guy Fawkes and the Gunpowder plot; Remembrance Day; WW1 - life in the trenches; Florence Nightingale and Mary Seacole.

Here is a picture of our Christmas assembly. A big well done to all the children who were involved - they did themselves and us very proud! :)

Term 3

This term, our topic will be Toys. We will be focussing on ways that we find out about the past and different ways in which this is represented. We will be identifying similarities and differences between toys from the past to the present.

Term 4

We will be learning all about the history of chocolate and how it is made. Our reading and writing will be linked to Charlie and the chocolate factory.

We will also have a chocolate making and eating workshop at the end of term 4!
