Term Five
Our learning this term will be linked to the topic A Commotion In The Ocean and A Rumble In The Jungle. We are looking forward to our trip to a beach to learn about coastal features and compare them to inland features.

Here are some pictures from our Year One trip this term to Eastbourne Beach. We used our geographical skills to observe the differences in a seaside town and our home town of Crowborough. We created some fantastic ephemeral art using resources we found on the beach. We had fun in the sun and even managed to stop the seagulls from stealing our lunch!
Phonics continues to be a focus for Year 1, as it is essential for your child in all of their learning so please keep practicing phase 3, 4 and 5 sounds . Thank you for your continued support, in particular the regular reading that you are doing with your child.

Term Four
Welcome back to Term Four. We are looking forward to another fantastic term of learning.
Our Learning Journey this term is Long Long Ago. As part of this topic we will be learning about Castles and how they are part of our history.

In term two our topic is Crackle Crackle Pop and we are looking forward to learning about the Great Fire of London.
Term One
In term one as part of our topic of 'Zoom to the Moon' , we enjoyed a space experience in a planetarium. The children learnt many new facts about our solar system.
